Monuments are areas in our dimension that draw in creatures from other dimensions, mainly Lepers. They're focal points where space-time is at its weakest and the bridge between other dimensions is at its strongest. Monuments are naturally made, as opposed to Venters, which are man-made portals to the other dimensions.
It is possible that Dimensional Bleeding might be the cause of Monuments.
