The Nameless are servants of the Unnamed Child. Once a Wanderer finds the Child again, she will whisper something into their ear. This is the only time the Unnamed Child has been observed to speak and it is unknown what she is says, though it is rumored to be her true name. At this point, the Wanderer loses all memory of their name and it is erased from all records and memories and they become completely devoted to her.
Despite the fact she never speaks, the Nameless seem to have no problems understanding the desires of the Unnamed Child so they may carry out her will.
The former owner of The Vent became a Nameless and his name was changed to The Nameless One.
