The Algernon Forest is a Fear Candidate that may represent the fear of regression, of going backward, of falling behind.
It can manifest as either: A few seed pods that infect plant and animal life, a green man-shaped creature known as "the Green Man", or as an entire forest. Anything that enters the forest or encounters one of the seed pods or the Green Man regresses, mentally or physically.
The Algernon Forest first appeared in the creepypasta "In Bloom We Grow."
