The Glitch is a portrayal of the Fear of the Surreal that represents chaos and madness. It was apparently "broken" a long time ago and has been attempting to restore itself through any means necessary ever since. It has manipulated several groups to achieve this goal, most notably The Offscourings, a highly secretive cult that despises order and the status quo.
The Glitch no longer has a physical body -- when it appears, it imperfectly copies from what is around it. An appearance by the Glitch is always accompanied by "glitches" in reality, such as people appearing with multiple limbs or eyes, with strange appendages, or localized time begins to break down, creating deja vu or jamais vu. These alterations ordinarily have negative consequences on the psyche of the individuals it decides to stalk, including paranoia, sleep deprivation, and schizophrenia.
For some reason, The Glitch has taken a far greater interest in humanity than the other Fears. In some instances, it has even developed a "fondness" towards certain people, interfering in their lives in ways that appear beneficial on the surface. This does not mean it is benevolent, however, as these "favors" are typically done solely to further its own agenda and often end up being detrimental to the person in the long run, often resulting in their untimely death or being driven to complete insanity.
The name of its domain is currently unknown.

As a shape-shifter, The Glitch has taken thousands of forms in order to interact with humanity. Each avatar evokes a different reaction from onlookers, ranging from disgust to an uncontrollable compulsion to worship it.

| Tiqarus | Northern Canada; Antarctica | Appears as an enormous invisible monster whose physical form can only discerned by the tattered purple robes it wears. Judging by its general outline, it is a somewhat humanoid, hunchbacked creature with multiple arms and a long tail. It is also described as smelling like wet dog fur, leading some to speculate it is a lycanthropic. The only visible part of its body is its massive, raven-like wings and two orange glowing eyes floating in mid-air. |
