The Spider is a portrayal of the Fear of Isolation which represents deceit, abuse, and feeling alone despite having contact with others. In its true shape, it is a humanoid being with grey skin, black eyes, and a multitude of limbs. Its primary abilities are shapeshifting, hypnosis, and walking on walls. It is a sadistic and selfish creature.

The Spider's modus operandi is simple yet brutal. First, it replaces a former victim with itself, taking their shape. Then, it fills the same role they had in life, mistreating people who thought they were its friends and family to briefly sate its sadistic tendencies. If they see through the Spider for what it is, it uses hypnosis to prevent them from speaking about it. Eventually, when the Spider has grown hungry or bored enough, it will change back to its true form, tear them apart, and devour them, allowing the process to repeat.

The Spider's domain is known as the Feeding Tree. It is a vast, dead tree with a multitude of interweaving limbs, each of which is covered in cobwebs and dead bodies. If the Spider wants to prolong a victim's suffering, it may take them here to slowly die of hunger, spending their last moments among the rotting corpses of its other victims. Sometimes, it has them try to warn the others still alive of its presence, then devours them regardless.
