The Twins are a portrayal of the Fear of Commitment who represent toxic relationships, obsession with others, and a disconnect from the self. The Twins are two humanoids of variable appearance, gender, and age who resemble each other perfectly. Being near them causes one to become slowly closer in appearance and mannerism to them; when one is completely indistinguishable from the Twins, they will be forcibly merged into them.

The Twins walk freely among humans. To avoid suspicion regarding the growing similarities between themselves and their victims, they usually take on an appearance and outward personality which was already close to that of their victim, allowing them to explain it as mere coincidence.

The Twins have no known domain. They are followed by a cult composed of those who were affected by their charisma, but were not targeted for assimilation, known as Devotees. Members desperately want the Twins' attention and approval, but this is a pointless endeavor, and most never even see them again since their initial encounter with them.
